Terms of Service
Aurea is an iPhone app made by an independent developer, Santiago Gómez. By using it you agree to these terms.
What it does
Aurea works out when golden hour, blue hour and true night fall at the places you choose, and pairs that with a weather forecast, so you can plan when the light will be good.
Use it at your own judgement
Sun and moon times are calculated from standard formulas and are usually within a minute or two, but they are approximations. Weather is a forecast. Terrain, buildings and conditions on the ground change what you actually see.
Don't rely on the app for anything where being wrong could hurt you or someone else: navigation, sailing, flying, hiking after dark, or anything safety-related. Use official sources for those. The app is provided as is, with no warranty, and I'm not liable for any loss that comes from using it: missed shots, wasted trips, or times that turned out to be wrong.
Third-party data
Weather comes from Open-Meteo (CC BY 4.0) and place search from Apple Maps. If either service changes or goes away, parts of the app may stop working.
Your data
What the app does with your location and saved places is in the Privacy Policy. Short version: it stays on your phone.
Apple
The app is distributed through the App Store under Apple's standard terms. Apple isn't a party to this agreement and isn't responsible for the app or for supporting it.
Changes
The app and these terms may change over time. The current version always lives at aurea.photos/terms. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it.
